Our Therapists

My goal is to help you reveal your story in such a way that you are equipped to walk forward from the past as a whole person. What happened in your past does not define your tomorrow. By providing a client-centered treatment approach, we will uncover the negative ideations that are holding you back and incorporate mindful solutions that are catered to your needs.
My areas of specialty include: Trauma, EMDR, Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Addictions, Veteran Reintegration, Conflict Resolution, Pre-Marital Counseling, and Christian Counseling. With over 24 years of licensed experience in Florida, I have extensive experience working both as a clinician and as a Qualified Supervisor. Through an array of clinical settings, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals, families, military personnel, veterans and first responders. Additionally, I am honored to serve our veterans and first responders through Shields and Stripes, utilizing EMDR therapy, an evidence-based modality, to elicit healing in our nation’s heroes.

I am a licensed therapist with over 15 years of experience in providing mental health treatment services. I have worked extensively in both the outpatient community and residential settings. I have a passion for helping others find their path to their most fulfilling lives. I seek to help individuals gain independence and I seek to help individuals live independently rather than depend on a therapist for the rest of their lives.
I view therapy as a partnership of wilderness survival training to help adapt and reprocess adverse life experiences. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with many individuals, helping them with individual and relationship crises, child/adolescent behavioral and emotional problems, trauma, and treatment for a variety of conditions such as anxiety, trauma, depression, schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders, bipolar disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder. My treatment approach is individualized to each individual client and his/her specific needs. Various treatment modalities including person centered, trauma focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I also offer Christian counseling.
Throughout my 15 year career, I have personally witnessed the rewarding and positive effects of therapeutic engagement with patients 6 years and up. I have been privileged to encounter prior clients in the area who are thriving as a result of the therapeutic partnership. And, I look forward to seeing our community continue to grow/thrive in the upcoming years.

The axis of the world spins on joy and my passion in life is to help people find their way back to that core place of joy. I have been trained in EMDR, and Rapid Resolution Therapy. I have worked with a large variety of people from various backgrounds including both children and adults.
I incorporate a lot of mindfulness and humor into my practice. I am the spouse of a military veteran who retired after 22 years in the service. Along the way, I finished my Master of Clinical Social Work, and engaged in helping people wherever the military took us.

I have a Master’s in Psychology from NYU and 20+ years of experience working with individuals of all ages and diverse needs. Over the past 13 years, much of my work has centered on children and families, particularly those involved in the child welfare system. I have provided parenting education for over 10 years and hold certifications in both the Nurturing Parenting and Circle of Security Parenting models. I also have a wealth of experience providing individual and family therapy with both children and adults, utilizing an array of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Recently, I have expanded my education and training to include a military-specific focus which has helped me better understand the unique culture, needs, and challenges faced by military members, veterans, their families, and community.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, impacts of trauma, relationship challenges or life transition challenges, I am honored to walk alongside you on your unique journey of growth and healing!
